Sixth Form Careers and Destinations
Supporting Students' Next Steps
At Northstowe Sixth Form, we are committed to ensuring that every student is ambitious, informed and confident when planning their future. Through our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme, students receive personalised support to help them explore their aspirations and make successful transitions beyond Key Stage 5.
Whether students choose university, higher or degree apprenticeships, employment, training or a gap year, our aim is to help every young person identify the pathway that is right for them and equip them with the skills, knowledge and experiences needed to succeed.
Our devoted Sixth Form team works closely with students throughout Years 12 and 13 providing guidance on:
- University and UCAS applications
- Degree and higher apprenticeships
- Employment and training opportunities
- Personal statement writing and interview preparation
- Dedicated work experience during Y12 and employer engagement
- Student finance and post-18 options
Celebrating Our Destinations
We are incredibly proud of our first cohort of Y13 students and the diverse range of destinations they have secured after leaving Northstowe Sixth Form. Our destinations map demonstrates the breadth of opportunities available and the ambition of our students.
From leading universities and competitive apprenticeship programmes to specialist training routes, these destinations reflect the hard work and aspirations of our students, supported by our dedicated careers programme.

Supporting Parents and Carers

Parents and carers play a vital role in helping young people make informed decisions about their future. As part of Meridian Trust, we work collaboratively with other schools to provide access to Meridian Pathways, a dedicated careers website offering guidance, conversation starters, activities and resources to support families through each stage of a student's educational journey.
Visit Meridian Pathways for further information and resources.
